They made the decision to do whatever it took to have their children with them as much as possible. It was not necessarily easy to have toddlers on the road for 200+ dates a year, but they will tell you it was the most rewarding decision they ever made. In their own words - "We discipled our kid's FIRST...they were the priority. We knew ministry could only be as successful as our family". Sarah (20) and John Michael (19) both serve in the worship department of their church (Gateway Church) and travel with their parents leading worship all over the world. They are both songwriters with songs on nationally distributed releases. When the Howell's show up at a conference or church, people see a real life picture of what building marriage, family and ministry on the sure foundation of God's Word can look like.
